I am an associate professor of psychiatry at the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), Bangalore, India. I work as a consultant at the WISER neuromodulation program and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) clinic at NIMHANS. In addition, I am a Wellcome trust DBT India Alliance Intermediate fellow.
My primary area of interest are neuromodulation and obsessive-compulsive and related disorders. I have special interest in exploring the role of non-invasive neuromodulation, particularly transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), in the management of treatment-resistant OCD and schizophrenia. My current research activities include Wellcome trust/DBT India Alliance project to examine the neurobiological and clinical effects of HD-tDCS in OCD (principal investigator), multi-center NIMH funded study to identify brain signatures of OCD (India site co-investigator) and the ENIGMA-OCD neuroimaging consortium study (India site collaborator).
